This Week in Science #15

Since this is fortunetly the last this week in science that I will ever hopefully do,I might as well say everything i have to say.This week in science i had to do the marshmallow challenge with my classmates and this was our 4th time doing this in the year.It was so much better than last time and the times before that and I was very confident in this time because I knew my classmates a lot more.This time around the results were much better than the first time we did the marshmallow challenge.On Thursday we had to make a video for our next year science teacher Debra.The video was supposed to be the intro so she can get to know us.We had to answer specific questions and it was supposed to be our This year in science post.


I learned that people work together way better when they actually know each other and are familiar.When I first did the marshmallow challenge in the beggining of the year,I did not know my classmates and it effected our progress.Now that I know them,we communicate more and can do a lot more work.I also learned that doing an introduction video is harder because you have to actually be on point with what your saying.

Extra Credit This week in science #14

   I learned a lot this week in science.I learned about biodiversity which means the variety of life.Also we learned about HIPPO which has become more of a dilemma for habitat reduction.We also had to write two pages about in our spider observation log .Then on Wednesday we got into groups.Each group each recieved a renewable or non-renewable resource.We made posters of it from what we researched about them,since I was natural gas,thats what I researched.On Thursday,we watched a video about the rapid growth of the bird population,and how dangerously full its getting.We also watched another video on how the population of people grew throughout the timeline and when it increased and decreased.We then answered questions about it on a worksheet.Now I have to do a TWIS for extra credit.

    Above all,I learned about HIPPO and the dilemma it created for the habitat.I also learned about renewable and non-renewable resources.

this week in science # 11

We did a lot of things this week in science,we started a new topic.We started ecosystems and we walked around the class room to other peoples work and put comments on post its.We learned how ecosystems worked.We each got 8 post its for each piece of work.On Wednesday,we had to get into groups and we were told that we had to create ecosystems for celler spiders.We watched a video on the spider and and learned how its life style is.Each group got a tank that there spider can live in and we had to sketch out a design for our tank and draw what it will look like.On Thursday we had to go outside to the park and dig around the dirt to find things for our ecosystem.We collected plants like grass,flowers and sticks.We also collected bugs like worms,and ants.After that we were able to organize the tank to ready it for our celler spider.


 Through out this week in science,I learned that celler spiders,even though they live in houses,can be very dangerous and fatal.I also learned that celler spiders weave webs really fast to catch and kill their prey faster.I learned that celler spiders need a lot of room and dirt to build their home.I also learned how easy it was to find bugs in the park and how hard it was to organize it all.

This month in science

This month in science I had to do a lot of things that involved with environment and the things around us.We watched videos on how the environment is slowly being destroyed by garbage and pollution,so it was a video based on recycling.Then we had to go into groups and make up survey questions to ask people outside.We then surveyed people and asked them our questions.There were a lot of people not willing to answer the questions but there were 6 people who did.After we surveyed people,we had to go back to class and we had and David told us to create a poster on energy and how people have to conserve energy.We had to make a slogan for our poster.We chose "Don't let energy become our enemy".=
